This is a very special time when the children set up their own lunch tables, and then enjoy lunch together within the sights and sounds of nature.  Children are asked to bring a nutritious, ecologically packed lunch from home. Guidelines are provided. This is an educational part of our day involving learning about nutrition and ecology, setting up a table with napkins, placemats, etc. and practicing good table manners.

       After our Lunch in the Garden session, we offer a short peaceful “rest and read” period, followed by educational enrichment activities in a small, cooperative group setting. The Wednesday Discovery program is the expression of our desire to offer our students some exciting learning experiences that will build upon and apply skills gained in the morning program, and stretch their imaginations and awareness. Through the years of preschool and kindergarten, this class will give your child the lenses of scientific exploration and discovery, mathematical measurement and thinking, and artistic design through which to further apply the sensorial, mathematical, and scientific foundations established in our morning program.
